THE POINT IS THE FEELING

I am a Cuban-born artist and advertising creative director, working in NYC and residing in Connecticut. I'm self-educated, both professionally and artistically. My core influences are European, Russian and American Impressionists of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. I paint primarily in oils, exploring skies, landscapes, and portraiture. To summarize my work, I borrow a passage from John Steinbeck's Red Pony. It's the reflection of an old wagon train master who recalls his perilous journeys and explains to his grandson: "I tell those stories, but they are not what i want to tell. I only know how i want people to feel when i tell them."
